A Statement from Rebecca Mansour

In response to false allegations made by Gabriel Sherman in this article in the New York Magazine, Rebecca Mansour issued the following to statement to C4P: Of course, I knew that HarperCollins did not give the Associated Press an advance copy of “Going Rogue.” Of course, I knew that the AP and others had purchased the book illegally. The point of contention was the fact that some high profile members of the conservative media (not just bloggers) had not received the advance copies they had been promised. Of course, I understand the concept of having an embargo on a book before its release date. This, like so many other “tidbits” in Gabriel Sherman’s article, is nothing more than a fabrication. Sherman’s assertion that “HarperCollins wasn’t providing the book to anyone, liberal or conservative, until the official launch on Oprah” is completely false as John Ziegler reports here that he received an advance copy of the book and signed a nondisclosure agreement with Harper Collins that prevented him from commenting on the contents of the book prior to its release.A Statement from Rebecca Mansour – Conservatives4palin
