Palin to Open NHLA Annual Convention in Vancouver, in October

The Memphis-based association representing the hardwood industry said Monday that it has asked Sarah Palin to give the keynote address at the National Hardwood Lumber Association convention in October. Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee, will open the 113th Annual Convention & Exhibition Showcase in Vancouver, British Columbia. “Governor Palin supports a free-enterprise system with limited government involvement and understands that industries such as ours are a great example of America’s pioneering spirit,” said Mark Barford, executive director of the association, which has offices in Goodlett Farms.
