FAQ
Q. Do I need to register to view videos on this site? A. You do not need to register to browse the site, watch videos and read the blogs, but you DO need to register to be able to post comments. Q. I am having problems viewing some videos? A. Some videos on the site are embedded YouTube videos, others are hosted on our internal servers which use the most updated video players. To view those videos you will need to have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed on your system. Adobe Flash Player is free and is available here. Q. Are you associated with Governor Palin or SarahPAC? A. No, we are not associated at all with Governor Palin, SarahPAC or any other political group for that matter. This is an Independent venture where visitors can hear and read Governor Palin in her own words. Q. Why create a website containing Governor Palin’s videos when most of them are widely available on YouTube? A. Unfortunately when you search YouTube for Governor Palin related videos, the results will include many videos edited and cut to take things out of context to portray Governor Palin in a not so fair and balanced manner. PalinTV was created to present Governor Palin in her own words, unedited, unfiltered all neatly organized under one roof. Q. By having all Governor Palin’s speeches and interviews in one place, aren’t you making it easier for the Palin haters to go after the Governor? A. The Palin haters don’t need our help to go after the Governor, they are very capable of making fools of themselves all on their own. Anything they want to use to go after the Governor they’ll find elsewhere, and if they don’t find it they’ll just make it up. Q. But what if the Governor said something and has since changed her position, aren’t you making it easier for people to find things to label her as a flip flopper? A. PalinTV is not here to “cover up” for Governor Palin. If Governor Palin changed her position on an issue, (something that as a private citizen she is free to do) should she decide to seek national office in the future, like any other candidate she would be expected to explain her reasons for the change of heart. Q. I am looking for a particular interview Governor Palin gave back in 2007, I cannot find it on your site? A. With so many Governor Palin related video’s out there, it’s very time consuming to upload them all at once. The site is updated on a regular basis, we try our best to upload new videos daily, so check back regularly and hopefully you will find what you are looking for. Bear in mind that although we aim to have it all, some older videos may not be available. Q. Will you have the Katie Couric interview from back in the campaign? A. The simple answer to this is, “NO”. In her book Going Rogue Governor Palin makes it clear that the Couric interview was sliced and diced to take things out of context. This contradicts with this site’s motto “in her own words, unfiltered”. If it’s filtered or edited it doesn’t belong here. Sorry! (Oh, and by the way all the YouTube search result versions are edited further and are unreliable). Q. How about the Gibson interview? A. The Gibson interview has been posted, and is available in the TV Interviews section of the site. As we noted earlier, we are not here to “cover up” or hide anything for the Governor. If it’s an interview or speech the Governor gave – good or bad – we will post it. We won’t however post videos that have been edited on purpose to make the Governor look bad and takes things out of context, especially where the Governor herself makes that claim. Q. I notice that many videos of speeches and interviews are incorrectly dated? A. This site is fairly new and uploads take place as we get hold of the videos. At this time the date below each video represents the date of upload rather than the date of occurrence. We do try to note the broadcast date in the video description. Eventually when all older clips have been uploaded things will fall into place. Q. I came across a video with an error message “this video is no longer available” what does this mean? A. Although we aim to link all videos to our own YouTube channel or our internal servers. Where this is not possible or where we could not obtain the video, we link to other YouTube accounts or external sources. This may result in an error should the owner of that video remove it from their site. In the event where this occurs please contact us immediate and we will rectify it as soon as possible. Q. Does this site have an RSS feed. A. Yes. The RSS feed link for this site is http://palintv.com/feed a RSS icon with the link will be posted shortly on the home page of the site ———————————————– This page is updated on a regular basis with responses to questions we receive.
